Colour: Logo Analysis

The Holden logo features two colours Red and Black. Generally red conveys action, danger,
passion, love, excitement, heat, pain, assertive. Associations commonly made by the use of the
colour black include sophistication, power, mystery and seriousness. Taking this into account Holden as appropriately
selected these colours to position themselves as a business that are serious
about their cars. Holden also uses these
colours to tell their audience that their cars are quality and sophisticatedly designed
so that the driver will experience the action, excitement and power that come
with owning a Holden car. This is a
clever used of colour to subtly convey a powerful message.
